Description
Ofloxacin is indicated for the topical treatment of external ocular infections (such as conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis) in adults and children caused by ofloxacin - sensitive organisms. Safety and efficacy in the treatment of ophthalmia neonatorum has not been established.
SIDE EFFECT
This medication may temporarily sting or burn your eyes for a minute or two when applied. Temporary blurred vision, eye discomfort, itching, redness, dryness, tearing, feeling as if something is in your eye, or sensitivity to light may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
PRECAUTION
Before using ofloxacin, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other quinolones (such as ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients (such as preservatives like benzalkonium chloride), which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
