USE
COVERAM is indicated
as substitution therapy for the treatment of hypertension and/or stable
coronary heart disease in patients already controlled with separate
doses of perindopril and amlodipine, given concurrently at the same dose
level. Treatment should not be initiated with this combination.
SIDE EFFECT
Nausea, vomiting, taste disturbance, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, diarrhea, constipation. Cramps, fatigue, feeling weak, swollen ankles.
If any side effects are bothersome or persist for more than a week,
please inform your treating doctor for appropriate treatment
PRECAUTION
Grapefruit juice and grapefruit
should not be consumed by people who are taking COVERAM. This is
because grapefruit and grapefruit juice can lead to an increase in the
blood levels of the active ingredient amlodipine, which can cause an
unpredictable increase in the blood pressure lowering effect of COVERAM
and also
Coveram is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy
