USE
Benylin Children's Chesty Coughs Syrup is a medicine which is used to help relieve chesty coughs in children. It contains guaifenesin (an expectorant) to help loosen mucus (phlegm) from the lungs and make it easier to cough up. The medicine is for use in children aged 6-12 years.
SIDE EFFECT
Slight drowsiness/dizziness, nausea, or vomiting may occur. Rarely, some people may experience severe drowsiness/dizziness with normal doses. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
PRECAUTION
This medicine must be used with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, or in patients who are pregnant or breast-feeding, because of the risk of accumulation and toxicity (metabolic acidosis). There is a double-ended spoon in the pack. This medicine is not recommended for children under 6 years old.
