Bisacodyl tablets and capsules. Bisacodyl is a laxative that comes in tablet or capsule form to treat occasional constipation. Constipation occurs when you have less frequent bowel movements. This medication works by helping the muscles in your intestines move stool (poop) to produce a bowel movement.
SIDE EFFECTS
Stomach/abdominal pain or cramping, nausea, diarrhea, or weakness may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
