Oxytetracycline is an antibacterial medicine used in treatment of various kind of infections such as: chest infections eg pneumonia, and also for mouth infections. It is also prescribed for infections resulting from some sexually transmitted disease and for some longer-term skin conditions, such as acne and rosacea.
Precautions
Inform your healthcare provider if you are taking any other medicines, this includes any medicines such as herbal and complementary medicines.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Oxytetracycline are nausea, diarrhoea and headache.
If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
