USE
Treatment of type
2 diabetes mellitus, particularly in overweight patients, when dietary
management and exercise alone does not result in adequate glycaemic
control. In adults, Glucophage may be used as monotherapy or in combination with other oral antidiabetic agents or with insulin

Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhea, weakness, or a metallic taste in the mouth may occur

PRECAUTION
You should not use Glucophage if you have severe kidney disease, metabolic acidosis, or diabetic ketoacidosis
(call your doctor for treatment). If you need to have any type of x-ray
or CT scan using a dye that is injected into your veins, you may need
to temporarily stop taking Glucophage.
