USE
It's used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and the build-up of fluid in your body (oedema). Diuretics are sometimes called water tablets because they make you pee more. This helps get rid of extra fluid in your body.
SIDE EFFECT
Common side effects include: needing to pee more often, mild stomach upset, dehydration, and low or high levels of salts (electrolytes) such as potassium or sodium in your blood. Speak to your doctor or a pharmacist if you have diarrhoea or vomiting from a stomach bug or other illness.
PRECAUTION
Check with your doctor right away if you start having dry mouth, increased thirst, muscle cramps, nausea or vomiting, unusual tiredness or weakness, severe drowsiness or dizziness, seizures, a decrease in urine, or a fast heartbeat while you are using this medicine
